Rochus Aust studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Trossingen, and the Royal College of Music, London. He has won national and international awards as a musician and visual artist; including scholarships at the DAAD, and the Märkischen Kulturkonferenz. He has made unique performances in over 40 countries with productions for festivals, institutions and public spaces. Aust is involved in making recordings for labels, radio and television stations worldwide. He works on interfaces between the coordinates of visual music, MOVinstallation and poésie électronique.
