Barbara Kaiser studied Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She is a founding member of the Vegetable Orchestra with whom she has made numerous appearances at home and abroad since 1998. Together with Tamara Wilhelm and Ingrid Schlögl she formed the band z.b.: … in 2004 (pop / performance / experiment). From this developed the mixed-media-performance duo z.b.: … together with Tamara Wilhelm. She is part of the international radio art network Radia – networked radio art, and the radio play duo die audiotapete (with Ernst Reitermaier).
